COFFEE MORNINGS

These are the best way to meet other members, catch up on news, buy lovely home made cakes and jams and SSBS merchandise.

The next coffee morning will take place at Cliffe Church Hall between 10am and 12pm on Saturday September 14th.

FIREWORK/FLARES POLICY
South Street Bonfire Society has a policy of no drop downs/flares in any processions, either in outmeetings or on Bonfire Night in Lewes.  Any member ignoring this rule will risk being arrested and may face disciplinary action and/or removal from the Society.

BONUS BALL RAFFLE
A Bonus Ball Raffle is held once a month to raise funds for the society. The Lotto draw on the Saturday of the coffee morning will be used. Numbers are £1 each. Half of the total stake money will be offered as a prize with the other half of the money raised going to the society. Payment can be in cash, PayPal or bank transfer. Welcome to South Street Bonfire society 

This family society founded in 1913 as a ‘Juvenile’ Society, now has members of all ages but remains a popular choice for families. We hold our annual celebrations on 5th November, and are proud to uphold the traditions of Bonfire Night in Lewes.

The costumes of our First Pioneers are Mid 18th Century (c. 1750), and the Second Pioneers, English Civil War. Our smugglers wear brown and cream striped guernseys.

LEWES RUGBY CLUB BAR
South Street Events Ltd now manage the Rugby Club Bar. The Society gets 50% of any bookings for events that are made through South Street Events. This venue offers a great space for events of all kinds, so if you are planning an event at the Rugby Club, please book it through us.
